Canada is often seen as the land of the free, liberal and a poster child for how a country should be. Today I find myself in the streets of Toronto being guided by investigative journalist Palminder Singh who provides me a deeper insight into the highly unreported freedom convoy that saw over 500,000 Canadians take to the street to demonstrate against what they termed as oppressive treatment.  We unpack how Covid has divided a once united community and how the fabric of “Canadianness” seems to be under threat.

About Palminder Singh  

Palminder Singh is an investigative journalist based in Toronto, Canada. During the Covid pandemic he started to create content surrounding the often under reported freedom convoy. His work started a movement of minds which has united the average Canadian to relook at Government policies surrounding Covid, vaccinations and the financial spending that has taken place. His voice has been instrumental via social media platforms with over 60k following his news feeds.  Unfortunately he faces a daily battle with TikTok and Instagram as his pages are often closed down without explanation.

We do this by plunging into the human experience of being a person of Indian origin (PIO), taking a second look at the countries we now call home and tackling the conversations we need to know more about.
