From humble beginnings as a waiter in a hotel that he eventually bought, to building a difference, Rajan stays in the UK and meets Surinder Arora, an entrepreneur with an extraordinary story!
Born to parents displaced from an India/Pakistan border town, growing up with his aunt and uncle before joining his parents in the UK at the age of 13 and unable to speak English, he defied many odds.
Following his mother's work ethic, Surinder left school and worked with BA and Abbey life. He saved and invested in property, buying derelict houses and converting them into bed and breakfast for airline staff. And after that, as the saying goes...the rest is history.
Today’s podcast is a reflection on life lessons, the highs and lows and how to stay grounded. Thank you to our guest Surinder for being so open and sharing.
