Sindhis have made indisputable contributions to India and Pakistan’s economy and identity, yet their own identity comes into question all the time.
In today’s episode, Rajan travels to Pakistan to meet Rafay Rashdi, a filmmaker, TV producer, politician and part time music connoisseur! Rafay talks to us about how Sindh is slowly losing its culture, scholars, storytellers, artists, folklore and even language on the backdrop of modernisation.
It seems that after partition, trust may have been the biggest loss in Sindh. The province will continue to exist but the value may not.
Is the Sindhi cultural identity vanishing and will it be recognised in another 30 years? Comment below.
